How many LED (Angel Eye) Headlights do I need to purchase?

I read that one pair leds lights up both rings but I was wondering if I should/need to buy two sets of the LED headlights. More important is there two separate places to plug in the lights. From the exterior it appears as if there are two separate headlights on each side of the car but considering this is my first Bimmer and Ive had it less than 6 months I decided to ask the Bimmer Nation of experts.

You will only need to buy one set. One bulb lights up both rings on each side.

Just upgrade the bulbs 150$ looks sick
