I do mostly city driving and my on board comp reading hovers right around 17. I just find it a little odd though that its so low...

I'm not a speed freak, though occasionally, I do gun it a bit here and there to pass all the A4s :D

I usually average about 17.

Edit: My car's a fat overweight, underpowered pig, though. What's your excuse? :D

No OBC but I consistently get 21-24. Never below 20 and never above 26.

Notice that the 'i/ci' gets slightly better numbers than the 'cic' which gets slightly better numbers than the 'xi/xit'

Simple. Convertibles weigh the most, and xi have extra drivetrain to move around.

On the cross country trip (san francisco -> pittsburgh) in the 330 I got an average of like 33 or so the whole trip and one tank got like 36 mpg.

That was the best mileage ever. In the city around here I always got like 17-18. I haven't really been paying attention to the m3 around town but on the highway it's been getting ~25 mpg or so.

better than the 850 -- the thing gets around 12 mpg. 14 on a good day :D
