I went to check out this 2004 325xi with 78k miles for 12990. it's in oriental blue with natural brown interior. it has a sport package with hid headlight. there are a few scratches on the rear bumper. the car looks clean. the tires are worn. my bro test drove it and said the steering vibrates when he brakes. I offer 10500 with a 3 month warranty. they wanted 1200 with 1 yr warranty. what do you guys think? is 10500 a reasonabe offer?

You need a good, thorough PPI to make any kind of realistic offer. We never recommend taking your car to the dealer for anything, but the PPI is one exception, because they will go over the car with a fine-tooth comb, and uncover things nobody else would. You can then use the list of faults they give you as leverage to get the price down to a more favorable amount. This dealer might be owned or affiliated with Morristown BMW, so if you`re serious, take it somewhere out of town, like Bridgewater BMW.

Just a rough guesstimate, probably somewhere around an hour or two of labor, which these days, works out to between $125 and $250. That may seem like a lot, but can possibly save you a couple of thousand $.

I would be very concerned about the aftermarket front bumper cover. Possibly switched after an accident. Also, the M badge on the back... this is not an unmolested, original condition car. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but do be sure to carefully check everything out. For 12k, you wouldn't want to be buying a problem car.
