Following some of the comments in the original thread, it was a tricky corner due to the rise just before the turn. As he crested the hill, he had no front grip, thus extreme understeer and no ability to turn. He was fortunate that he didn't have enough time to try and compensate and with more steering and end up spinning or even worse rolling.
