I***8217;m still running on my factory 19***8221; rft***8217;s (Goodyear ls***8217 at 36,000 miles. I have plenty of depth until I hit the tire bars, so I***8217;m assuming I***8217;ll be getting low-mid 40k miles out of them.
I have 45k miles on my 2014. I have the staggered 20" setup for my summer tires and 19" all around for winter. I use Nokians in the winter, and have had 4/32" tread wear for about 25k miles of winter driving. I only got about 14k on the Pirellis p-zero runflats, and look to be headed to about the same on this second set. Unfortunately, I like the crisp handling and the road feel with the Pirellis and there aren't too many other options. I get my tires from Discount Tire and they say the wear on those Pirellis is normal.
Hi I opened this thread to find out what is the cost for using different tires sizes for X5
If you are not using Snow tires and using just regular tires
19” tires you have a lot of choices and if you rotate the tires
You can drive about 40000m cost about 850 -950 on tire rack
20” less choices about 18000-23000 miles cost 1300-1500
21” 15000-17000 miles cost about 1800 to 2000
This what I want to find out if the worth change the rims from 19 to others bigger rims
I got 20k out of Pirelli Pzeros RFT, 40k out of DWS06 at 5/32 and just got another set of Contis at 60k (due to drone noise). Summer performance tires on avg have lower life tread compare to AS tire. $1200 for contis installed is way better deal than Pzeros at $1400 with half mileage. Both on 20" staggered setup.
