I have a sedan with fold-down seats. I would like to remove the rear cargo shelf in an attempt to quiet that area down. The flimsy shelf is a like a drum skin that rumbles when the car goes over rough surface.

I read the installation instruction for rear sun shade at the Circle BMW parts site, but I couldn't understand the steps there on removing the shelf.

If anyone could shed some light and offer some tips/advices, they would be greatly appreciated. TIA.
