HU_NBT2 Coding fails always

Hello, in my new M235i convertible coding the HU_NBT2 head unit always fails. VO coding and FDL coding (even without a change) both fails. All other head units can be coded without any problems, only HU_NBT2 has this problem.

I am using PSDzdata 55.4 and E-Sys 3.24.3

If you can send the error log (look under c:\Data\Log) and the ncd file to fxxtokenmaster_at_gmail, I can take a look at it.

Meanwhile, you can try with 3.26.1 and see if that solves it. 3.26.1 have a different signature calculation which NBT2 might need.

Tried HU_NBT2 coding using E-Sys 3.26.1, but it results with the same error.

Some additional information: Today VO coding worked (with 3.26.1). I dont know why. But fdl coding still fails.

VO Coding also works with 3.24.3. The issue is only FDL Coding, and E-Sys version not matter. There is something about NBT2 (NBT-Evo) Head Unit that needs to be understood still to make it work.

How did you install your PSdZData? Your PSdZ library (not data) version is PSdZ Version 4.8.1.20130522-1126 as per the log you sent. It should be PSdZ Version 5.00.01.20140822-1343 for V55.1 and 5.00.05 for V55.4

I'm surprised 3.26 even ran as it required Version 5.0 and up

Still digging through the log file but it is an apparent bug in the PSdZ library

After installation of E-Sys, I extracted the content of the folder psdzdata from the file "v.55.4_PSdZData_Lite.7z" into C:\data\psdzdata\. Then I installed E-Sys launcher and used it to start e-sys.

Found the offending code. D@mn hardcoding in E-Sys.

I hate touching code I didn't have to, so, I'll have to come up with some clever ways to go around this issue. Stay tune. I'll send you some test build(s) if you don't mind testing. Rest assured, my test builds are just as safe as my release builds.

I'm currently up against the same issue with trying to code HU_NBT2 using 3.26.1 with 55.4 data so if you want another tester, I'd be more than happy to give it a try.

Works perfect! Coded usb video without problems.

Additonally I set startup_emblem to variant_01. The value was saved correctly but in nbt-evo it still shows the connected Drive animation. Maybe another value needs to be used for m Animation in evo?

I have no idea on NBT => NBT2 retrofit. I have yet to even see ann Evo Unit in person yet.

What the hell does retrofit have to do with this? And why then does he post Video of this capability if he does not offer it? He will only help if you buy NBT retrofit from him?

Maybe you can find someone on BMW.SG forum that has it working, and if it is a Coding parameter, get their HU Unit .ncd file to study and compare to yours.

Im Germany and I think in EU too, we can use the postal searching function since years.
In Germany we are using five digits for postal searching.
