Hi, I have a 1997 BMW 318i series.. the problem is when I put on driving or reverse it starts to shake so bad... when I took to the dealership it says that the braket that hold the transmission is broken. on one side .. so do anyone know that is it a major problem for not fixing it or do I have to fix it... because I'm on my financial problem right now.. hopefully nothing will mess up the transmission.. plus when i was driving the gear seen not to switch gear properly.

You should fix it ASAP. All the shaking will eventually damage other parts which are not built to work under such stress. Take it to a local mechanic that can be trusted...if it is only a bracket he should be able to fix it quite easily and should cost you very little if anything at all.

sounds like a bad transmission mount. you should replace your engine mounts too and when you do, you're car will feel like its running the day it came out of the showroom.
