I'm selling my car next month and need a cheap(ish) daily driver until I can find the "right" 93-94 911 RS America. Anybody have any ideas for a fun car in the low to mid 20s?

Some of my thoughts, used S2000, VW GTI, WRX. But I doubt any of those would fall in my pricing scheme. Help me out guys, can't think of anything I'd want to drive that's not in the 35-40k range.

And anybody know how soon you have to buy another car after selling yours before the sales tax credit expires?

Focus SVT? Mini? The Mini would be hard to get now though. WRX would be an excellent choice...

I'm just going by the best times for a 330 that I've seen to date, which are the 6.1/14.8 that C&D got on the first test and the 6.2/14.9 that R&T got this month.

And you better like the Type-R, it can 0wn your ass on the auto-x course.

looking up auto-x results, last one I drove like crap and it beat me by 5 seconds (timed by stopwatch). Before that, by less than 3 seconds. He was on Kuhmo race tires though
