2010 3-series with 75K miles and the iDrive inexplicably quit. Installed a brand new battery in May of this year. Can find nothing useful in the owners manual either. Anybody have this happen? I'd like to avoid a trip to the dealership if at all possible. Thanks for your help.

Battery Registered

Forgot to mention that the battery was registered in May when it was replaced.

What do you mean by quit?

Is the BMW logo stuck on the screen? No display, but backlight? No backlight/display at all?

Does sound work?

There was no sound, nothing, just the BMW logo. However, after letting the car sit for an hour or so, the iDrive worked again. Has been fine so far (knock on wood), but I' now wondering what on earth would cause it to blank out in the first place? It was hot Saturday, but not as hot as Sunday, and the iDrive worked fine. Still, I'm worried it my be an intermittent issue with the battery.
