...you should try waiting to pick it up when it's sitting there ready to go home.
Our new 330cic arrived at our dealership late Friday night. The dealer's prep group doesn't work on Saturday, so we couldn't pick it up that day. They promised to have it ready to go this afternoon (Monday).
However, my wife left on a business trip yesterday and won't be back until late Friday night, so we went down to the dealer on Saturday evening just to make sure the numbers all looked correct so that I could pick it up today alone (visions of the car have clouded my mind to the point where $700 a month looks about the same as $7000 a month, so my wife wants to verify everything herself). Everything seemed fine, so we left there Saturday night with me knowing I only had 48 hours to go. We contacted our insurance company yesterday and had them start coverage today.
Well, my salesman just called and said we have a little problem. Since the financing paperwork went through BMWFS with both of our names on it, they need both our signatures before I can pick up the vehicle. They could simply re-run the credit info in just my name, but the rates changed the first of May and we were locked in at the older (better) rates. Of course he should have realized this Saturday, but I also should have very specifically asked "so you don't need her signature for me to take the car home???"
So now I have to wait 5 more days to pick up the new wheels, even though it's sitting there ready to go this afternoon. Keeping focused on work this morning was bad enough, now I've got 4.5 more days to wait.:bawling: :bawling:
Any suggestions on what to do to pass the time? I can only read the owners' manual so many times....
