In jan I had the CEL misfire 3,4
put in new plugs (ngk)
ended up replacing coil 3,4

three weeks later...misfire 6
coil replaced..
couple of weeks..misfire 1
replaced...

so if you are keeping track...
couple of weeks...cel on...guess what..misfire 2

my thoughts are to replace 2 & 5 coils and save myself the grief of waiting a couple of weeks..
The question is ...is this normal for them to all crap out or is this a symptom of bigger problem?

fyi...fuel filter air filter/ 02 sensor (precat) replaced january

How many miles on the car? Mine started going last summer, but the car only had 60K on the odometer. They were just old. I tried to replace just the one that went first, but within a couple of weeks, a second one went. I replaced the rest of them rather than just waiting until they went out one by one. When one fails, they all will fail soon thereafter.

Are your coils possibly the bad ones that were recalled? I would be interested in knowing how many miles are on them. 60k miles isn't old. I have a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 with the original Autolite yellow top coil still installed. My runnin' around beater is a '89 Mitsubishi Galant, 375000 on the odometer, original coil. Something doen't sound right. Please tell me these coils last longer than 60k or so miles!
