Well, our trip to Ixtapa was absolutely fabulous! Incredible snorkeling, some killer sportfishing, good food, and great times!!
I don't think that I've ever experienced a more perfect vacation in my life...

It feels great to be home, but I am already stressing just looking at all of the unanswered emails in my box...

I don't even dare check my voice mail messages at the office
(I don't go back to work until tomorrow)...

So, what did I miss?
I'll have to go back and try to catch up.

Btw, ***I just updated the ordering guide to include the new Z4 Roadster***.

Here's the link to the updated ordering guides:
http://www.bimmerfest.com/news-story.php?news_id=22

Anyway, I'll check back here in a bit; I've got some unpacking to do...

Here's a pic of my 12-year-old son Erik and I together with
a pair of local Zihuatanejo fisherman. Take a good look at our tatooed Captain - a former Navy Seal! Erik was so stoked - he finally caught his first-ever billfish! :) The fish was donated to a local school, so I don't fell so bad that it wasn't released...

Gotta run for now,
--Jon

That boy'll teach the old man a few tricks . . .

Well done! Nice fish.

Yeah, he'll be the teaching you how to fish one of these years.

Sounds like you had a great time. Nothing like 'recharging the batteries' with some time off with the kids. Speaking of which, Jon if you can manage a personal day off on September 11th, take it and spend the day with the kids.

Many of us in NYC are going to do just that, and we're encouraging everyone to take a day to . . . reflect . . . think about what's important . . . to be with the kids . . . family, etc.

Jon, I'm hoping to finally meet you the end of September when I come to Santa Barbara for the Structural Engineers Accociation of California meetings.

Sounds like fun--glad you had a good time. BTW, be sure you don't take your pix to CVS to get developed (I know you have a digicam).

Looks like the students got to eat some yummy sushi!

Hey Jon. Welcome back. Sounds like a nice relaxing vacation.

Lets see what you have missed:

1. Alex B. starting to write again. So much for his vow to abstain till January.

2. Someone at the new car forum suggesting that the best deal is for people negotiating MSRP down on a floor model.

3. The continuing saga of Israel/Palestine. I should have stayed out of that one :(

4. Some of us being requested to stay here after a visit to .org's lounge.

5. TD being the center of attention at .org (again).

But that is just a normal day at fest, I guess.

You mean he's the one with the mustache?

What???

eek:eek: is right!!!

Thanks for the update Dave - sounds like "business as usual"...
;)

I must tell you - I was so tempted to check the board down there... This was the 1st time in 4 years that I was able to go a whole week without going on the Internet...

Anyway - what great news - I might finally actually get to meet Ausgang in-vivo (after chatting for all of these years)!!

And Sr. Baumann is back amongst the living???
:D

I really missed all of you guys.

I only saw (1) BMW in 8 days, though.

:(

I was taxied around in Sentras and 25' outboard 'pangas'.

Check out the crib we stayed in...

I can assure you - this is **not** me.

Check out "Captain John" of the fishing vessel "Sea Horse".

You should have seen how many beers he put down.

Kinda scary....
