I have a 2011 X5 35i Premium and we need to start carting more kids around, I don't want to sell it but off hand the dealer said the 3rd row cannot be installed after the fact. Reaching out to see if anyone knows what is required to get it done on an existing 2011 35i Premium? Thanks.

Can't be done.

You would have to retrofit:

- completely diff't rear suspension
- diff't 2nd row seats with diff't seat rails to allow them to slide
- seat belt system for the back
- get rid of the spare tire/all of that stuff
- source the seats
- get the whole HVAC system for the 3rd row (They have separate vents)


get a new X5
