Decided to replaced the factory Business CD unit. CD's started skipping and wanted blue tooth. Installed a Kenwood receiver and wiring harness from Crutchfield. Followed the directions, easy install no issues. Sound is much clearer and better, and head unit has a lot of new features. It was very straight forward install. I took my time, maybe two hours total. I wish I did it sooner.

Now to update speakers next..... (I know I still have factory amp...)

I purchased the Kenwood KDC-X598 for $150.00. The install kit and antenna adaptor and wiring harness were included at no cost. It was plug and play, no issues. The included instructions told how to unplug harness from old unit, same as threads on this site. The new harness plugged right in. I do not have the harmon kardon speaker system on my 2000 2.5 Z3. There is a subwoofer in the back, I believe a shallow 6.5" can be fit in with a little cutting, its on the to do list in the future.
