I was changing coolant in my F32 N20 and replacing the (Micky Mouse Flange) and snapped a bolt. Will Easy Out the sheared bolt out of the block. But how in the hell does the bolt shear off. Pushed it in past the o ring then started tighting then snap. Are you kidding me!!

Tightening how? Was it previously overtightened or been out several times already? How’s the threads ( you won’t know until it’s out )?

The old ones, I don't know maybe I had it in at an angle . I went to BMW today at lunch and picked up a couple of new ones. And then stopped by Harbor Freight for a cheap Easy Out setup. Will give it a go in an hour or so and post back on the outcome.

Ok I was able to easy out the snapped bolt. Threads were good. Did some filing of some damage to the flange (should have taken a pic) and put a drop of oil on the mating surfaces and it installed perfectly this time.

Always new bolts in parts that have extreme temperature oscillation several times a day.
