There are only three things about which a man will say, "Mine is smaller than yours."

-Cell phones

-PDAs

-Alimony checks

Hmmm.

I've never had a guy come up to me at a party and say, "Hey, baby, see how tiny my prostate tumor is?"

I really hope I can continue to say that for years to come.

That key doesn't look like mine at all. Is it just the picture, or do you have something different?

That looks like the key to the new E65. Not a 100% sure, but I know it is not an E46 key.

745 key - it doesn't have a metal portion. It slides into a rectangular slot in the dash.

actually it does have a metal portion(key for glovebox) that is slipped inside the rectangle u see in that picture. but ur right there isn't a key per-se to insert into the ignition.

Buying lobsters! :D

Yes, that's an E65 key.
Yes, there is the usual metal key, which is hidden inside that big plastic key and which is used to lock center concole storage, lock the trunck, etc.
And yes, that metal key has nothing to do with starting the actual car :)
I'll try starting the car with the metal key removed, actually. Wonder if it will work.

Cheers :)

Sorry, forgot to say it was an E65 key.

Its similar to the Mercedes keys that have been out for the past few years.

rost...youve sparked my curiosity, too. I know the spare/emergency "fob" wont work without its "key," but im gonna go check if the fob works without the key.

Yup, the fob works without the actual key inserted.

If memory serves correctly, i think it was the same for the mercedes keys

Kewl :)

I'll steal the actual key from my father and see if he notices anything missing
