Hi guys. My 328i 2007 ( 82000 miles) dies intermittently just before coming to a stop at traffic lights... it's still rolling when it happens. It starts right up, idles fine, no fluctuation and runs fine afterwards until next stop. One day it happened many times, almost every stop. I didn't drive it for a week, and now it seems fine, but I don't trust it. No check engine light or any warning whatsoever--no hesitation or anything before it happens---just dies all of the sudden. Any ideas?

PS It has new water pump, thermostat, recent battery, spark plugs. Few weeks ago check engine light came on indicating knock sensor error, but it checked out ok by a mechanic, code cleared.

And delete your codes, drive until issue occurs; read your codes. Whattaya got?

Thank you for your advice. I didn't do anything but now it seems to be fine. I don't have a scanner but my bmw shop got code 2A82-- camshaft position timing over-retarded. I will drive it and see what happens. If occurs again, will deal with it again. Hopefully not.
