That's the one I have
It came out in summer 2001 and it was the first to feature 4cyl Valvetronic engines.
No trunk of course, and some ugly front and rear lights keep the cost down. The headlights seem identical to the Rover/MG ones. Who would have though that a BMW would look like a Rover?
You may notice the front bumper, including the area up to the front of the wheels and the top of the headlights is soft plastic. The upper part comes from a single mold, while the lower is exactly the same as the MY2001 sedan. The curve in front of the bonnet always looks as a bad fit, but its is simple to manufacture. There is no rear armrest and some standard sedan features are extras. As a result the price in Greece is:
Compact 2.0 lt. € 29900
Sedan 2.0 lt. € 34400
Coupe 2.0 li. € 36700
Compact 2.5 lt. € 47900
Sedan 2.5 lt. € 52300
Coupe 2.5 lt. € 54900
Underneath it is a standard E46. Contrary to the previous Compact that had an E36 rear suspension and other "left over" parts, the mechanics of this model is the same as a MY2002 sedan, including the stiffer suspension.
