I am starting to experience small (still expensive) repairs not covered by my CPO. Specifically bushing replacements ($2K). Can someone recommend a BMW independent repair shop near West Houston? I have been very happy with the work and service from BMW West in Katy, but am in search of second opinions.

Call Clint Host, Gas Head Motor Works, 713-465-7575 located near I-10 West & BW-8 behind Home Depot. He is a perfectionists, his shop will surprise you. To reach him call and leave a voice mail; he doesn't normally answer the phone as he doesn't stop in the middle of fixing a car.
