I've got a 330i non-sport loaner (Alee's color too)

I've got a Orient blue with Grey leather 2002 330i as my loaner and I want you all to know one thing . . .

The sports package wider wheels and high performance tires REALLY make a Huge difference. I know I've said this before with my own car, but this really proves it (again)

It's like I'm driving a different car and I would NEVER go without the stiffer ride of the sports package

Also, again I noticed that the throttle response is A LOT quicker on the 2002's but for some reason without the sports package I really am not loving this car (did I say this already). The ride is soft (yuck) and body roll is more present eventhough the suspension is a sports package suspension.

the non-sport seats suck . . . I am sorry Nate but they are so flat and unsupportive. I also notice that my shoulders are actually too big for them
yuck yuck yuck !!!

Also, after close examination, I have to say those non-sport wheels are a freakin nightmare to clean :yikes: :yikes:

Alan - what's wrong with your car?! Why so many loaners lately?

My bets are...

a. the wood trim on the shifter doesn't match the rest of the car

b. it takes more effort to steer left than right

c. When he uses his right foot on the gas, he has an easier time accelerating smoothly vs. using using left foot

Probably c. :D

Last time (2 weeks ago) I went in for the full service (oil change, etc) and I had the door seal changed to the new design

Then I noticed my steering felt lighter in one direction over the other so the dealer is now replacing a pressure valve on the steering rack (from what I understand is a very small job)

My dealer has overnight service so I dropped it off tonght and will be picking it up tomorrow.

I said I was sorry !!!

. . . Ok, I take it back, your seats look good I just find the sport seats more to my liking !!
I weigh 200lbs and I still find the sport seats too big for me.

Don't go soft on us Alan.:tsk: You'll need to be on your edge for tomorrow when you go to pick up your car. My guess is that you'll have the same issue except it will harder to steer to the right:yikes:

;) Hope they fix it to your liking

I weigh 190lbs and am 5'10" and I agree with you but compared to the non-sport seats they are more form fitting.

Did you ever sit in the Acura RSX . . . now that is an awesome seat !!!

SP is a must have option. The 330i I had my test drive in was non-SP. I never felt connected to the road and the steering seemed way too loose. Those non-SP wheels are fugly too.

HEY ALAN, I agree with you 100%, I had the same thing, a loaner sedan w/o sport package, it was like night and day. It was 01 model. When I got back into my car my steering was SO HEAVY! The ride was totally different. I also would never buy one w/o sport package for looks as well as the seats. IMO!

Craig,
This morning on my drive back to pick my car up I was driving the loaner and thinking how it's not as bad as I thought it was last night . . . though it is still too soft for my taste !!!
