Holy Schmoly. There were no more Harms parking spaces left. I had to part right by the EHH door. Since there was no sign I hope thats ok. It looked like all the cars up there were going on Monday cause they had papers in the windows for shipment. It would be nice if mine gets in that shipment window too...but I bet it's too much to hope for.

Oh well....all in all this was a decent ED trip. Started out horribly with the delivery at the Welt and got better once I got away from Munich. Spent some day down down in the Dolomites (my favorite area of Italy). Picked up my Coffee Machine at Jura outside of Zurich and now caffiene life at home will be back to normal.

Im heading out in the morning and looking forward to just layingin my own bed and taking a shower in my own shower. I travel too much and this trip was a bit long for me esp since I didnt bring my wife it makes for a harder time. Oh well. It's all good.

Can you clarify what happened at the Welt? Everyone who has posted on this site has raved about delivery at the Welt (unfortunately my delivery was at Freimann last year!), so I'm intriguiged by your statement that "started our horribly with the delivery at the Welt". Enquiring minds want to know!:dunno:

The Welt is great, but Freimann is a classic memory from a bygone era.

I didn't mean to belittle the delivery experience at Good Old Freimann! Doing ED there was an experience of a lifetime!:thumbup:

My experience at the Welt was mediocre at best.

I happened to be the first delivery on 26-April-08. Every was fine upon arriving on time and being shown to have something to eat and relax prior to meeting my Delivery Specialist.

Meeting the Delivery Specialist was quite fine as well. Went through all of the Marketing hype with no problem. I would suggest that people skip the simulator and projector table and take a tour. I beleive it would be worth your time if you used it that way. You can read the history and understand how your car works by actually being in it not in the simulator. Personally, I thought that was a waste of time.

My issues began when I was shown my car. It was a mess. I purchased the Metallic Silver and it was dirty and streaky on the outside. The top was down and there was wax buildup or soemthing all over the convertiable cover too. The inside doors and back seats where embarrasing to see there was white stuff all over it. It was like someone did not do their job in preparing the car to be delivered. I was embarrassed to have paid what I paid for the car to have it delivered that way to be honest with you. I hope that I was the exception to the rule because I cant beleive this would be anywhere close to being normal.

The Delivery Specialist showed me the car and we took some pictures and he had the car taken away and cleaned up again and it was put int he valet when I went back to the lounge. I would say it took over an hour to get the car back before I was on my way. In any case it was much better but I still did see quite a bit of white streaky stuff on the inside backseat leather. I also noticed that the leather on sides in the back seat didnt seem smooth all the way around. It was like something got dragged across it and it pulled up a little bit.

All in all I was not impressed with my delivery and would hope that I did experience the worse that anyone should experience. At this point I wouldnt suggest it to my friends and I wouldnt do it again either.

That is unfortunate and definitely the exception and not the rule when it comes to Welt deliveries. I'm sorry you had such a poor experience. I would have been pretty pissed off myself so I understand.

Did you complain to BMW about this? After all the anticipation and buildup on this forum I'd be really let down by your experience. They should have at least comped you some free stuff or giftshop credit. S:thumbdwn:eek:rry it happened to you.

I understand your pain. My delivery on the 24th had some problems too. The car was not delivered with the promised floor maps and when I pointed it out the car was taken to the "garage" and came back with the tool kit missing.
