Just got new akebono ceramic brakes installed on all four corners and wow what a difference. You do loose a little bit of stopping power as others have said but the smooth and linear braking is well worth it. No more rough stops. Recommended

What was your total cost of purchasing them and getting them installed?

I just install Mintex pads $53, this weekend they are metallic i just dont like ceramic i have bad experience with them, this car is heavy and must stop if you are braking, also i seen in DIY that you need to take off those two big bolts i think they are 17 or 19mm, i did not unscrew them just two long small, all job took me less then an hour, mintex pads working well for me very quiet and close to original BMW but they are not sits there yet, also changed sensor $15 on the driver side and reset iDrive, all together $68 not bad

I am on my 3rd set (different cars) and I will say this yet again... IT IS THE BEST MOD FOR BMW... PERIOD!

Unless you guys had different factory pads than I did... I could NOT wait to get them sh1ts off of my ride! Do you realize a complete cleaning is nullafied after a few blocks of driving and braking? FUNK That.
