Subject: Summer Sale: PhatBoxes!
Urgent New

Hello PhatNoise Priority List Members!

It's summer time... and we know those road trips and Friday afternoon
getaways are coming up. So we thought it might be good to get some new
PhatBoxes out there to make the drive a lot more fun. Plus, we have some
new features to announce that will make the PhatNoise Experience even
better. Check out this preview of coming attractions:

The coveted PhatNoise Car Audio System will be available again direct
from PhatNoise starting July 29th, with support for BMW, Audi, VW, and
Sony car stereos, plus NEW support for Ford! Prices range from $799-$859
for 20GB models.

Here's what's cool about the Summer Sale PhatBoxes:

- NEW: USB 2.0 cradles! Lightning-fast transfers for massive music
collections
- NEW: 40GB systems available! For those of you for whom 30GB is just
not enough
- NEW: Upgraded Voice Technology for SSA! The industry's best speech
engine now included
- NEW: Upgraded PhatNoise Music Manager! Fantastic new interface is even
easier to use
- NEW: FLAC support! Lossless Audio Compression technology for the
ultimate in sound quality -- and no gaps between tracks
- NEW: Audible.com spoken word content! Scheduled downloads of books,
magazines and newspapers right to your cartridge

Best of all, you don't have to buy a new PhatBox to add these great
features to your current system. The USB 2.0 cradles, 40GB cartridges,
and upgraded Voice Technology will be available as accessories for
PhatBoxes and Kenwood Music Kegs. And simply upgrading your current
version of the PC software gives you the new Audible and FLAC support.

The PhatNoise Summer Sale begins July 29th. The Store will be open for
business at midnight. A complete list of prices, compatibility, and more
information on these new features will be posted on the site a few days
before that. In the meantime, please visit the new and improved PhatNoise
website: http://www.phatnoise.com.

As always, we thank you for your interest in our products, and for your
patience and support.

Enjoy the summer!

The PhatNoise Team

Just in case some ppl dont know the the system is, it allows you to load up all your mp3's onto a 20GB cartridge (about 10,000 songs) using your PC and play them in your bimmer using the cd changer controls on your FACTORY radio!!! I have been waiting for something like this for some time, I missed it the first time around.

LOL, my apologies, I was thinking "Phat box" as in "Blow your eardrums out, then have a hearing aid like my 30 yr. old brother-in-law whos making Ripsnort rich". No offense!

what is teh price difference between this and the alpine set (changer, connectors, brackets)? thanks
I think the phatbox system will run about $800, close to what the dealer charges you for the Cd changer system. In addition this can hold about 40 Cd's worth of music....

so this thing operates off voice commands? I have always wondered how reliable these systems are. I would be very interested. I wish i could test one out.

It's not voice commanded. It has the capability to annouce the titles and artist of songs if you want it to.

You just use your normal controls to navigate thru the songs. No voice command

well i was thinking not versus the OEM but the alpine changer taht AK was talking about. i understand this is much more capacity, but if the CD/alpine changer is more cost effective for me, 6 discs of music is more than enough...
