I'm currently looking at buying a 2002 325 ci with an active autowerks e supercharger , shtick cam shaft, uuc exhaust and a bunch of other aftermarket parts its 5 speed and has 109xxx miles whay i want to know is is that car going to be reliable as my 323 or will the supercharger give me some problems down the road ex. Blown head gasket, or top end rebuild or tranny rebuild or do you think I will be good thanks for looking guys your help is much apreciated.

Thanks man i do know he had all the work done professionally from AA ans BMW if that makes a difference at all. And i'd love to start from bone stock but I don't have that kind of money I'm looking to upgrade to a quicker nicer Beemer.

He does have recipts and dyno sheet at 312 hp. and my brother is a mechanic he will be coming with me tomorrow to see the car he used to be a head mechanic at Mercedes Benz so he knows German cars he knows a lot lol. You see I just wanna know if it will give any problems for the next 3 years my friend is trying to tell me oh the motors gunna blow or the trans will blow becaude of the stress of the supercharger. I just wish I could know if it will have problems within about 50xxx miles if so what kind and how much money to fix.

If you`re gonna hang here, you`ll have to use the proper terminology...."Beemers" have two wheels, "Bimmers" have four....
Haha sorry man bimmers it is. And guys I wasn't able to look at the car today im going Monday but I found out more its his pleasure car not his DD so its real clean its the stock gear box with a stage 2 clutch so I figure as long as it has a good clutch that will take most of the abuse from the added power for the trans. I also found out from 3-4 k Rpms it puts out about 4 lbs of boost 5-6 k rpms it puts out about 6-8 lbs of boost and 6- redline it gets close to 11 lbs of boost. Does that sound good like the tranny will hold up on this bimmer for awhile granted I'm going to use it as a DD so I'm not going to beat on the car ill use the power but not abuse it.

I honestly had no idea they were there. i live about 15 minutes from that shop looks like ill have to go establish a friendship with them because I was like I said before always an American muscle guy I had shops for that not bimmers and other German makes. But that's where ill be going because I just read some great reviews about them and I also bought the 325 earlier today. It's got some real power it suprosed the hell out of me. It needs some basic things like interior wise the passenger side door panel is loose and the centerconsole lid is busted but my brother put the works on it and it checked out mechanically can't wait to put plates on it tomorrow and drive it. I will definitely miss my 323 because she's such a good car and my first e46. Also I have a question the driver side seat is power but will not move backwards the seat reclined and all but will not move back...any ideas about what it could be and how much to fix? He was about 5'8 I'm 6'2 it needs to go back lol. And yes i know exactly where you used to race route 21 is full of cops now lol
