There was a really sweet E36 M3/4 in last months Roundel. I was going to look at it, but I called my insurance company and it was going to raise my premium too much. :bawling:
I know, I know, but the guy really wanted too much for the car anyways ($33,500). At that price he isn't losing to much money on a car that will be 5 years old in 8 months (from purchase date). I never went to look at it. Probably gone by now and to be honest it's the only car I've had interest in giving up my 330Ci for. There's not to much out there that drives me crazy other than a CooperS and that's a whole different breed of a car.TD said:
Grrr... We all told you at the time to shop around on insurance. My rates went DOWN going from a 330i SP SEDAN to the M3/4. You have a 330Ci COUPE. If mine went down, yours should surely go down. Our demographics are VERY similar. (Hell, I'm, what, 10 DAYS older than you? Both of us are married with one child. This should be comparable.)
Don't give up!!!![]()
Are you missing your E46 330i yet? I still haven't sealed the deal on mine.Emission said:A stock E30 M3 is very rare. Most have been altered for track use, or just plain abused but unknowing owners who put Sears mufflers on them and cheap tires.
If you find a clean, stock car with OEM parts, it could warrant $15,000. A good condition car is about $10-13,000 here, while a beater is about $7,500. For comparision, the same year clean E30 325i is about $5,000.
I am one of those who feels the E30 M3 is one of the last true streetable racecars that BMW made.... they are a blast to drive!
