CD - Don't know if you want any other comments about your runs, but from pole D it looked like you were overdriving quite a bit. Not as smooth as I remember at the last one. If I had to sum it up in one phrase, it looked like you were trying a little too hard to go a little too fast.CD-55 said:Here is the quote from Steve: It's my novice impression that JST is smoother, based on riding with him at
the TARA event(3 weeks ago)... CD-55, you should charge admission to ride with you. When I rode with you (Sunday),
it was pretty much hold on for dear life.
I, OTOH, tried to go slower this time and was successful. I stuck to my plan of conciously braking earlier than I had last time. As a result, I didn't push through the turns like before. I think I slowed too much a few times though. I couldn't get the slalom on the first half right...I think I tapped the brakes each time even though I knew that I didn't need to. I probably should have downshifted to first in a couple of places but didn't. Oh, and I have to remember to disable DSC before the runs start, and not when I'm on the course
Also, FYI, the gate right next to pole D changed a little between heats 1 and 2 due to a growing pothole. No idea how much time it might have been worth, but you may want to keep it mind when comparing your times with cars in the first heat.
