please post your 325/330 convertible pictures here... trying to narrow down color choices. has anyone ever seen lipstick red in person? is it going to be $$$ for any of the individual colors? is a color like that even possible for ED?

thanks,
Wes

BMW individual stuff is hard to do for U.S. cars even ED. I've heard, and seen, that it's possbile. The biggest hurdle is finding a dealer that knows how to order it and is willing to. Most times I think that the sales management won't do it just because they're afraid of getting stuck with a car if the buyer backs out.

That, and it's ungodly expensive. Last time I heard, an individual paint color went for around $2000.

The more I see your car, the more I like it:)

The color combo is becoming one of my favorites. My dealer has an 2000 Z3 CPO with the same combo on its lot right now. If the timing were a little better (i.e., if the wagon were paid down), I'd be all over it like Alee on bird crap:p

John Shafer had posted a pic of a green with natural brown 330 that is stunning.

You may be able to find it with a search.

Good luck :)

obLu,
Nice car, I have a 330i w/same color with 18” Type M Wheels. Sizing is 225/18/40s all around.
However, I need to ask you if the edge of your 19” rim miildly sticks out of the tire since you have 235 size tire.

Basically, what I noticed on my combo is that the edge of the rim is easily exposed to curb dings and scratches due to the 225 width of the tire. With your setup I assume you face the similar issue. Other than that, do you have any dents, dings, scratches on your rims? (*knock on wood)

That's just regular old non-metalic jet black. The picture is just a bit washed out for some reason, obscuring the depth of the color somewhat.

jk330i - actually, and I don't know if it's just the brand of tire I chose or not, the tread of my 235/35-19s is physically about an inch wider than the 245/40-17 pilot sports. My tires stick out past the edge of the rim instead of the rim sticking out. But I'm pretty careful having already been the victim of a couple of curb rashes on my other wheels.

obLu,
what kind of brand tires are those?

I have Pirelli tires and the rims on my car stick out immensely, causing it to be exposed easily to curbs and road debris. It's a pain I'll have to bear....

Continental ContiSport Contact 2's. For as much as people bad-mouth the oem original contisports, I took a big chance on the contisport 2's. Great tire so far, and extremely quiet. Which is important in a convertible otherwise with the top up you can get some nasty drone.

If there's one thing I'd ask for is more launch traction. But braking, cornering and wet traction have been most impressive.

sorry to the rest for jacking this thread but one more and I'm done...

obLu,
i can't stop complimenting on how much your ride looks so damn suhweeeeeet!
SO I ask you what is the name of the wheels you have? Could you reply with the specs(name, model, size) of the WHEELS and tires(rears bigger?), where I can purchase it and HOW MUCH it will cost?

Thanks again!
