Hi everyone,
It's likely that I will be signing a lease tomorrow on a 328xi and I want to make sure I'm as prepared as possible. I've already negotiated the purchase price on a custom order (invoice less $750 option allowance), RV (60% for 36 month, 12k miles/yr), and money factor (.00125 or what I think is their buy rate) and believe I'm getting a great deal. (Feel free to let me know if you think otherwise.) As such, I'm wondering if there's anything further I will need to negotiate. Are there BMW national standards when it comes to who pays for the routine maintenance? If so, is it typically the lessee or the lessor? Same question when it comes to gap insurance, who's responsible? Anything else I need to be thinking about? Thanks for the help!

Maintenance is covered by BMW -- they advertise this fact extensively. GAP is similarly covered -- but ask the finance guy/gal to show you where this is indicated on the lease agreement.

Your best way to be prepared is to work out the exact payment yourself before you go in. Otherwise, there's no way to know that you truly got that MF. Also consider multiple security deposits. Seven of them will bring the MF to 0.00076
