one thing i would do is add fuel stabilizer then fill the tank, run the car so the stabliizer is in all the lines

also make sure its clean and dry to keep it from rusting/tarnishing and throw a cover on it

i know some people put a bit of oil in the cylinders to keep the rings from rusting and siezing to the cylinder walls, but im not sure if that what you are supposed to do or if there is a special product for that...someone else might be able to help you with that.
