its a hell of a deal i think.

85k miles.
no accidents.
and its only 17k!

There is a lot of hidden things that could be wrong with the car, & cost half that much in repairs in the first year of ownership. This is a 90k car, with 90k cost of repairs. Have the car checked out by a BMW shop, to see if there could be any problems. If the price seems to good to be true, it probably is? There are many threads showing the repair cost of those items.

Do your homework before buying the car!

I have the same car (2007 with 85k miles). Bought is 6 months ago, paid £11k. It's a huge amount of car for that money, but as Herb states repair costs can also be huge. I have the valve stem seals problem with mine. To check get the engine upto to full operating temperature ( about 100 deg c on the gauge) let it idle for 3 Mins and then punch the throtle hard. If you see clouds of blue smoke then it's about £2k repair. This is the only problem I have noticed so far
