Currently looking to buy a E30 Manual either 325i or is, 333i or 318i. Coupe or Sedan doesn't matter. I'm looking to start a project and daily drive it so I'm not looking to buy someone's restored car. This car stock with no work done to it is valued at $1000 and that's what I'm looking to pay. I will also accept advice on where to look for such a purchase...I've looked at all the top links for Google search "e30 for sale" including Craigslist...everyone on there is trying to sell an e30 they built up or fixed. I'm considering looking at salvaged yards and impounds. Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

+1 to that. The days of $1000 running and driving E30s are gone. In fact, you can hardly buy a beater/parts car for that.

Exactly why I keep my two shells for the day I need to build another one. They can bee found but it's not like it's 2003 anymore. I used to buy my local dealer's trade in's before folks were wise to it. Then the mechanics started grabbing them and poof that was over. Metro DC used to be great for driving around and finding as well.
