I have a 2006 Z4 3.0si roadster, when I shift from first to second gear (with the clutch still disengaged) I'm getting a loud thunk noise, which sounds like it's coming from the transmission, but I can't tell for sure. No other gears do this and if I downshift from 3rd to 2nd it happens. Any thoughts??

Sounds like a bad diff mount.
