So i had some work done to the car, guess they disconnected the battery. Well now instead of having the little gas pump when fuel is low it shows the warning triangle. Anyone know how I can get the gas pump back?

I would not think that the warning triangle would be triggered by the low fuel light. :dunno: I would think that something else is being triggered before that light would appear. If you had your battery disconnected at a BMW or Indy, have them run a diagnostic routine to read any BMW related codes. After the codes are cleared, see what happens!

Well only reason I think its the warning triangle is that it was on when I was low on fuel but then went off once i filled up. before it was the gas pump instead of the triangle.

You need to go into the menu of the Idrive and check what vehicle service warnings are on, that usually indicates that there is something that needs to be done! Might tell you when you first start the car and then just the triangle.

ah held the check button everything checked out ok. i'll wait till the fuel gets low again and see what happens.

yep its the low fuel warning, so still can't figure out how to get the gas pump to show, now it shows the small triangle when the fuels low.
