Getting OBD codes P1550 and P0505. The 1550 code relates to a Idle Speed Control Valve Closing Solenoid and the P0505 is the Idle Control System Malfunction.

I replaced the Idle Speed Control Valve and cleared the codes and they came right back in about five miles of driving.

The car runs great, other than when first starting it up. It does not idle very well until it gets warm, usualy after running about 5 minutes.

Any suggestions. I have the Bentley but it is sorely lacking in information for the M3

Well, I have found the problem, rather Dieter's German Car Specialists found the problem. Inside a wiring bundle, I had several wires melted and thus giving multiple false OBD codes. After Dieter Fuchs cut out the melted wires and spliced new wires in place of them, I at least am down to one code and that is P0412. Dieter thinks it is probably the Air Pump. I'll take it back to him on Monday, 4/4.
