I'm looking to buy a m5 steering wheel and I wanna knw if it would fit my 2001 525i. Is it a ez change over and which one should I get. I'm getting one for $350 is that a deal or can I get beteer prices thanks :)

I have no idea but this topic has been discussed a lot so why not just do a quick /steering wheel(F3) in the VERY best of E39 Links and start from there?

It depends which year the M5 is. If it is a 2001-2003, it should fit your car with no problem.

You need to look at production date rather than marketing year. I believe the date began in 04/99 for all dual stage airbags and the wheels. This would include the 2000 model year in the US. If the M5 wheel and airbag you're putting into your 2001 E39 was manufactured after this date (most US versions were), you'll be just fine.
