Fault Information

Fault Code Description
The fault is set if the load correction factor for the measured amount of air exceeds the permissible limit value.
Limit value: 0.06
Fault Code Conditions
General ConditionsThe fault check takes place continuously. However, a new correction factor is calculated only once per driving cycle and if an enable is issued due to ambient conditions and the current operating point.
Control unit voltage: 9.5 V to 16 V.

Fault Time Condition
No debounce.
Service Plan
Check the following possible fault causes:
1. Check the charge-air temperature sensor for plausibility.
2. Check air intake duct between air cleaner and hot film air mass meter for tightness.
3. Check airflow for tightness (oily, dirty spots are signs of leaks).
4. Check exhaust-gas recirculation valve for tightness, function and fault code entries.
If all checks are OK:
Replace mass air flow sensor.
Fault Impact
Visit your nearest BMW Service Centre.
The fault blocks regeneration of the diesel particulate filter.

Supply voltage? That's jumping to my eyes.
How old is your battery?
Worn battery can cause plenty of craziness in electrical system.
