Micro Cabin filter reset and not due till another 80000 miles??

Just replaced my micro cabin filters on my 2004 545i and did the service reset by following all the instructions on this wonderful website (thanks everyone) and the new number it reset to is 80000, is this correct? I know these should be changed more often than that. Are we able to modify the intervals to the duration we want it to be?

That's the default setting in iDrive, and it cannot be changed. I put the date in my phone so that I get an annual reminder to change the filter elements.
It seems like the dealer changes them once a year.
I had a service at the dealer today, and they reset the cabin filters it shows next change at 100k
Im just going to change them every 15k.
