I have a 2017 330i with 18” wheels style 397 Looking to purchase a set of used 17” BBS style SR 001 with Blizzaks. Offset is 1mm less clearance on inside. So it looks ok there.

Tire sizes. Now 225 45 18”. Vs new 225 55 17”

Stock 17” tire would be 225 50 17

Tire calculator shows a 3% increase in diameter which would change speedo reading +1.78 mph at 60 = 61.78. Side wall height +22.2%, -2.9% revolutions per mile. Circum. +3%

Would this be close enough or would there be errors that would throw off codes and issues.

Thanks

There would never have codes unless the wheels front to back are off. 3% higher is totally within acceptable range for changing tire sizes also.. so you're good on all aspects.

i ran that size on my 2013 F30 with lowered sport suspension, no problem. did look a little off with the larger sidewall.
