I have a 88 325is that has 144K on it. Just bought it knowing that it was running rough. Changed the plugs and the number one cylinder plug was oily. Checked compression on #1 and it is 75. Check the compression on #2 and it is 120. I didn't check the other cylinders. Any ideas what could cause this?

Thanks
Alan

But the real question is how could this happen? I'm going to take the head off, but something caused both rocker arms to break. I expect to see dents in the piston.

Time will tell
