They have. Try finding one in a retail store, the larger rat version anyway. More effective than the other type IMO.

Easily available from Amazon. I've read of them referred to as the 'pro version.' My best guess is that it's easier to set them off on your finger than the older style metal bait holder type so they restrict them from the general public.
