I just bought a 1986 528 it is in awesome condition (i hope) except when i was driving the back part of the muffler fell off. The circle part and tail pipe. I want to order another one but some say One piece from catalyst back. the other says
he O.E.configuration for this part is front and rear muffler as a single unit. As supplied by Ansa, this part plus BW 4545 are required to equal the equivalent O.E. (18 12 1 178 263)
Product Remark: Rear Muffler another says Exhaust Muffler I am not sure which one to order. Also do i need muffler hanger parts a catalytic converter?

You can replace the exhaust from the cat back with a one-piece assembly or two component system, but your local muffler shop may also be able to give you some creative alternatives, especially if you need to replace the expensive OEM catalytic converter. Good luck.

Thanks but I wont be going to a muffler shop so .... i see that they sell a catalytic converter which looks like a small oval for around 100 and another one that looks like the whole muffler for 400 is the one that looks like the whole muffler set just the muffler with the catalytic converter altogether
