Bought an e92 330i 2008 (with iDrive, BT, Nav, and no USB), and the BT does not work.
Already tried many things with no success (different phones, disconnect the mulf, the battery...).

Anyways, today I visited the dealer for diagnostics. They said I need a new MULF2 and the part number I need is 84109226711. The price for a new MULF2 is ....wait for it....wait for it....$1318.

So, I would like to buy a second hand on ebay. However, when I look at my trunk, the current MULF2 part number I have is 84109163348.

here it is:

Are these two parts exchangeable ?

When I look at BMWFANS, I see that 84109226711 is Bilaterally exchangeable with 84109224673 and 84109163348 is Bilaterally exchangeable with 84109149656 but the one I have is not exchangeable with what BMW said I need.

Is there anyone here that share some light on this?? I really don't want to spend $150-$200 on a unit that does not fit my car.

Thanks!

Westech, I'm not really sure what you meant. BT is essential everywhere, is'nt it?
I don't want to install an external BT kit if I can get the original unit to function...

Update - bought one of the above mentioned parts (used from e-bay) and installed it today. Everything works like a charm! No coding is needed for me. Just plug and play :)
I'm so happy. Finally I can drive the car without feeling embarrassed that I'm using earphones instead of Bluetooth***8230;
