OK, my driver's seat clicks when I take a corner hard. Really annoying. It's the SP seat, manual adjustment. Seems that whenever my weight shifts from one side to the other it'll "click". Like two pieces of metal are touching. I've poked my head under the seat, but couldn't find anything obvious. And no, I'm not that fat! Honestly, I'm under 2 bills! :yikes: Any suggestions?

I get the same thing too, but in the passenger seat, and only when someone is sitting in it.

Yes, Yes!! I can actually feel the clicking in the seat bottom. Kind of creates a nice melody with the rear decklid/seats creaking together.

Seat clicks in 325Xi 2001

I used to have a 98 Subaru Outback that the seat would click front to back from acceleration/deceleration forces. The dealer adjusted the latch mechanism for the adjustment and all was fine...

My BMW makes the same noise and I have brought it in 3 times to see if they can get rid of the noise. I have isolated it down to the thigh support. The dealer tried unsuccesfully to adjust, lubricate and tighten the seat mechanism. I found that the noise is due to the thigh support being adjusted all the way forward and ratched all the way up. I am tall and like to have leg room. I found this with the seat adjusted down in the rear and back far enough I have legroom and headroom. Anyways back to the noise. If you adjust the ratching thigh support down a couple clicks from max the noise on my car goes away!

Now if you can all help me with my clanking noise from the right rear of my car! After lowering it with the H&R springs I get a noise going over large bumps. HELP!!! It sounds like the fuel filler hose or some suspension part is banging into the body of the car.

VT325Xi, not to hijack this thread or anything (ah, well, what the hell, why not) but could you post some pics of your lowered Xi? I'd love to see the difference between stock and lowered on that car (since it already sits higher than the sedan).

Thanks!

I adjusted the tilt a little and the clicking is reduced! Thanks for the tip!
