My wife hit my car!

My wife was backing out of the drive tonite and didnt see me pull up and I just froze, she saw me at the last moment and braked, leaving a black stripe on the passenger door, 98% rubbed right off, no dents but a mild (if any can be mild!) scratch. Un-------believable! Her lexus had the paint on the bumper rubbed right off. Well crap! What should I do with her? Divorce, spankin, beating, ground her?

Hmmm, I think you should spank her. Treat her like the dirty girl she is, that dirty girl. :D

If it was me....

that would be grounds for retro-active birth control! But that's just me.

Take away her shopping privileges for a month.
When my 330i was just one week old, my wife came in the house crying...

She had opened her Volvo door into my car door while my car was parked "safely" in the garage! The ding was huge - and dark blue!

She was smart to cry upon her confession, but it didn't lessen my pain.

The best part was watching her sit there for nearly an hour attempting to wax the ding away. I still laugh thinking about it!

I am counting on it! Seeing that big RX300 coming at me I felt so hopeless, and my seven year old son is in her passenger seat and he was froze up too. I just saw his eyes all big just like mine. I am going to have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for at least a week just reliving it

My wife would say, "Ooops, sorry."

Then when I was still moping an hour later, she'd be all...

"What's your problem?!? Get over it."

:dunno:

I'd suggest spanking, and post the mpg on this website :D

:: shudder ::

Sigh. Yes, some of that has admittedly rubbed off on me. Along with my blood thinning to the point where 50 degrees F now qualifies as "cold" to me.

The sad thing is, I grew up in Jersey!

Still a Yankee fan tho. :thumb:

This is what I would hear. "It's just a car." "See your car is more important to you than me."
I vote that she has to be your sexual slave for one evening.

:yikes:
Since you have children, that won't ever happen. :p
4.5 hours later, and indeed, "she is all"... "Well you shoulda never pulled in the driveway." Now its all my fault. Looks like I may have to be the slave now.
Sorry about your car. My wife has an uncanny knack for denting cars. My beautiful glossy black SHO was only a week old when she managed to crumple the front bumper in a parking lot fender-bender. Of course, I kicked myself for letting her take the car.

My E36 was scratched along the driver's side door when she decided to "help" me by getting my ladder out of the garage WITHOUT moving the car!
So far, she hasn't come close to the E46...yet.

Hey, it happens. Within a month of getting a brand new Toyota Highlander, my sister hit my mom's brand new 330i while backing out of their garage. Of course, my dad was the real victim, since he bought both their cars.
When my old 323Ci was 10 days old, my wife drove it into the back of our company bus in the car park. It had to be trailered off, and was off the road for 2 weeks. She tried to run away (some colleagues found her trying to leg it to the Railway station!).

She wont drive my new 330Ci until I have pranged it (her decision!)

am i the only one who thinks the husband could have avoided this incident by reversing or at least honking his horn? :tsk:

Oh sure, throw this back into the innocent guys lap:p

The fact is I'm sure he had the 'deer in the headlights look' when he saw her backing up. I know because I've been there. I'm just glad it was a rental car I was in at the time and not the Bimmer.

The only thing I would hold him accountable for was not making her purchase a car that had some type of parking distance control feature. I don't think the RX300 has this feature, but it should be an option.

Heck, you're lucky to get a female to go straight ahead okay, without adding some complex maneuver like backing up, or heaven forbid parallel parking.:yikes: :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

Get over yourself. My wife dinged the fender of the Bavarian Princess. I made one slightly annoyed comment about it, and she took my friggin head off for being an a$$hole.

And she was right. It's a car. Get over it. If it bothers you that much, get it fixed.
