Hey everyone, I just purchased my e46 a few days ago and i noticed that it's indicating I have a problem with on of my taillights or brake lights, but I haven't noticed anything and the indicator goes away at random. Any ideas?

Try search function - this has come up before.

Often this is caused by a loose or corroded contact at the light itself. I have had this - warning light goes on but the light in question works fine. It may go away by itself (like mine), or you have to reconnect/clean/replace the contact. Not a sign that your BMW is going to self destruct.
