I have a 2011 535i xdrive that just spun a rod bearing, and because of that has rod and now have scraps on the crankshaft. I have a friend that has a N52 engine with only 75k miles from an e60. I was wondering if I could swap these engines or if I would run into any issues from it.

Technically feasible but would require a lot of work. Including coding, changing some of the accessories etc. You will be much better off finding a used N55.
