Navigation System X5 E70

I have a 2012 X5 Premium and live near Kansas City, MO. The navigation system cannot find many popular shopping/dining locations in the Kansas City, MO, area - especially the downtown area, the Plaza, and Union Station.

Early in 2015 I tried to enter the address for Granaeur German Restaurant, 101 West 22nd St, Kansas City, MO, 64108 (816.283.3234) into the navigation system. The system could not find the location &, therefore, could not direct me to the location. I attempted several other addresses (all known good addresses) in the downtown Kansas City area without success. I updated the maps with item Number 65902408179, "BMW NAM UPDT 2015 CIC via USB on/about 13 Feb 2015. The navigation system still could not locate any of these popular addresses in the downtown Kansas City, MO, area.

Recently I tried to find the Apple Store in the Country Club Plaza, 4712 Broadway Street, Kansas City MO, 64112,but the navigation system could not find the address.

The locations I tried to find existed long before my BMW was built - many years longer actually and I am extremely disappointed that BMW has failed to identify & correct this defect.

This is UNSATISFACTORY and should be corrected w/o cost to owners without further delay.

The Plaza & Union Station areas (addresses I was trying to reach) are extremely popular tourist sites throughout the Midwest and are well established (and easy to find) on the internet. When will BMW correct this defect in the navigation system?

After updating the maps in Feb 2015 - still could not find any of the places that show readily on Google/Apple/Yahoo maps.

Has anybody else noticed this problem? Is it just my map system or is the defect more wide spread?

I find this interesting having some background in Cartography... I just looked up "4712 North Broadway St, Kansas City, Missouri" (added "North" because of auto fill in browser, I think I fat fingered "nroadway") and google gave me 8 different 4712 Broadway's to select from. My first thought on this was KC, Missouri vs KC, Kansas was why your NAV was acting up. I still think that is possible and to complicate it more add 8 very close to identical addresses in the same general area you're just asking for trouble! I've only had my X5 for 5 months but have used the NAV to get to locations all over the SF Bay area, up and down the coast to SoCal and inland to the Las Vegas areas without any bad location info or not finding my destination.

My bet is if you talk to a postal employee that delivers on "Broadway St" in MO they will have dozens of delivery stories to share...
However, the address in question (both OPs and yours) only have one possible combination, that's in MO, based on a google search of just the building number and street name.

That said, I know the BMW Nav sometimes has issues with same street names in neighboring counties. For example, "El Camino Real" here in SF Bay area spans 3 counties. The user can incorrectly enter the city, but the Nav would hint there is an "El Camino Real" in SF, San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.

Further, the Nav also has issues with exact naming conventions. As noted, we may call a street "North Broadway", but the formal address should be "Broadway North" and follows the formal post office address. This is a common issue when I entered my old address in Arlington, VA which was technically "Nineth Street North", but most people call it "N. 9th Street". Google accomodates for this naming convention quirk, but when I get items shipped, the address correction always shows "Nineth Street North", which is what the BMW Nav also prefers.

The only issues I've had with my 2012 CIC Nav is with warehouse/business or condo block addresses, where 10 building numbers can be associated with the same block.
