Does any one have any recommendations for replacement motor, my timing chain blew and of course have bent valves vanos is questionable ect is it better to just replace the engine or repair? if so who is a reputable seller of these engines. any help would be greatly appreciated:dunno:

How many miles did you have on the car?
It would be cheaper and quicker to drop another motor in.

Did someone tell you that the valves were bent? How did they determine that?

Timing chains don't "blow." Get a second opinion.

i would get a second opinion the issue engines for any e39 ruffler cost as much as the car is worth.... worse case Scenario make it a weekend project car and put it back one piece at a time I do wish the best of luck tho!
