Hi fellow Bimmer enthusiasts,

Before i ask you my question i would like to introduce my self, i am a recent college grad, that came out of the university during the worst economic downturn ( 2009), i loved the bimmer since i was a child and i swore that i would some day own one on my own. I am an engineer and i could not find any better engineered car than the ultimate driving machine.I bought a 99 corolla during my first job and using it for the past two years, hoping to save money so that, someday buy an actual bimmer. Here i a now ready get my first dream car

Here's my dilemma, i am in the market for my first bimmer and my budget is around 25K-27K, i am stuck between choosing a 328i with relatively low miles and 335i with some miles on it, i was hoping to buy a 2009 model so that there is some warranty left on it.

Some of my friends suggest that i should go for 335i since, its just great and they say that i would later regret not buying it after owning the 328i for a couple of months, some are totally against it, ranting its HPFP issues and suggest that i should get a 328i.

Here are my priorities, i would really like a fun car to drive and one that would not cost me too much to maintain it for the next three years.

So i would really appreciate any input on helping me make a decision on which one should i select.

Hey, welcome to the fest ... there are always economic downturns .... my first job out of Georgia Tech was a gas station!

You can find a nice 3 Series in the 2009 / 2010 20k mile range with 2 years and 25 / 30k miles left on the factory warranty and maintenance ... this is the sweet spot of BMW buying.

Only you can decide between 328 / 335 .... must drive them both .... if you like speed and a kick in the pants you will default to 335 but 328 with 17in wheels and a few options is a mighty nice ride.

Being in Atlanta you ought to call / meet Claude my favorite high line auto broker http://www.autolinkusa.com

He buys 2 year old BMWs coming off lease at auction and has a great eye for quality and what is selling and does not overly mark them up like the BMW dealers selling CPOs which you do not need right now in your price range.

Well, now. A common request, there's a boat load of responses, and recently, on this very subject.

Seek and ye shall find.

See, if you do it that way, the rest of us don't have to do anything at all, an excellent result for old forum dogs.

Woof.
